Working hours

Some shops are open between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Other shops and department stores are open between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. On Saturdays open between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Closed on Sundays.
Restaurants, cafes etc. are open from 0.7 a.m. to 0.1a.m. next day.
Discos from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. / Night clubs from 8p.m. to 3 a.m.
Banks and post offices are open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Conversion rate

The basic Macedonian currency unit is Denar. You can choose between the banks and privately owned exchange offices for cash. Banks are recommended for checks and credit cards. Most of the large hotels offer exchange facilities as do the Central Post Offices. There are few ATM in the center of Ohrid.
